My first friend I made was with Samson, the giant German shepherd/grizzly bear mix guard dog. When he is out of his cage, he follows me everywhere. Mama Irene asked why I like the dog so much. I told her I always make friends with guard dogs and men with guns. In case anything ever goes down, I want them on my side!
Sometimes broken glass on top of the wall is not enough to protect you.
This morning someone unlocked the gate so I was able to take a 3 mile walk around this neighborhood. I returned to breakfast of hard boiled eggs and bread. Then straight into teaching. Beef and rice was on the menu for lunch.
Probably the biggest change I have made to our program is a focus more on application of the truth we discover in the Scriptures, and Mama Irene has really taken this to heart. She shared with me how she has now taken the Bible is an Elephant material and shared it with two different groups already.
